Hanami 2024, the free cherry blossom festival, at the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth (78)

The Domaine de Madame Elisabeth, located in Versailles in the Yvelines département, is organizing a grand celebration to welcome the arrival of spring, on Saturday April 20, 2024. Inspired by the traditions and customs of Japan'sHanami festival, this festive day offers you the chance to immerse yourself in a culture from the other side of the world, from the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth.

In recent years, theHanami festival has become increasingly popular in Paris and the Île-de-France region! In fact, this major annual event, which takes place at the start of spring, has a number of flagship venues, including the Parc de Sceaux (92) and the Moulin Jaune in Crécy-la-Chapelle (77)... At the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth, where Hanami is celebrated for the very first time this year, the program honors the Japanese art of living, with an exhibition, a yoga class, martial arts initiations, floral workshops... As well as a tea ceremony and a giant picnic area!

The Hanami 2024 program at the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth:

• Japanese floral art workshops (kokedama), Konoibori workshop, origami workshop
• martial arts initiation with the Budo Versailles club, with the presence of French champions
• dance initiation and show by Yosakoi Paris
• yoga classes(on reservation, €10)
• Japanese board game tables and outdoor games available
• Ikebana exhibition
• tea ceremony with sale of traditional tea and pastries
• ITM Paris make-up workshop (€3)

Online ticket reservations for Hanami at the Domaine are recommended but not compulsory, and admission is free for all. See you on Saturday, April 20 at Madame Elisabeth's Estate, from 11am to 9pm, to celebrate Hanami with family and friends!
