The Fête de la Nature returns from May 22 to 26, 2024. To mark the occasion, the town of Plaisir is offering a wealth of activities to help you discover biodiversity and local green spaces, all free of charge. Now's the time to sign up!

The Fête de la Nature is back for the summer season, to showcase our green heritage. To mark the occasion, the town of Plaisir is putting on some great events. It's an opportunity to introduce children and adults alike to nature conservation through free activities.

These activities are spread over several sites across the city, each offering a unique experience to connect you with the surrounding nature. Some activities require prior registration, so be sure to sign up and check the schedule beforehand.

Detailed program for the Fête de la Nature in Plaisir

Exhibitions (May 13 to June 15)

  • "À travers mille et un regards" : Discover nature through the eyes of Plaisier photographers.
    Location: Throughout the town.

  • "Snapshots of wildlife in our region" by the Association des Photographes Amateurs d'Auffargis.
    Location: Parc de l'Hôtel de Ville.

Wednesday, May 22nd

  • In search of small animals: Use nets and magnifying boxes to observe small animals. Times: 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Etang de la Cranne entrance.
    Free with registration (limited to 30 places), ages 8 and up.

  • Biodiversity discovery : Explore the Château park to discover local flora and trees.
    Times: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free with registration (limited to 30 places), ages 8 and up.

Friday, May 24th

  • Discover nocturnal fauna: Accompanied by a naturalist with a doctorate in biology, you can listen to the animals, breathe in the scents of humus and aromatic plants, and recognize trees and plants by touch or smell during this nocturnal stroll in the Château grounds.

    Free with registration (limited to 30 places) for children aged 8 and over.

Saturday, May 25

  • Plunge into the heart of the beehive : Observation of bees at the educational apiary.
    Times: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., several sessions, Parc du Château.
    Free with registration (limited to 15 places), ages 8 and up.

  • Planting an urban orchard : Participate in the creation of an urban orchard. Schedule: 10:00 am, Promenade de l'Aqueduc.
    Free admission for children aged 8 and over.
  • Journey to the heart of aquatic ecosystems
    Exploration of aquatic ecosystems with interactive activities and educational games.
    Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free 1-hour tours with registration at 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm (limited to 15 places) for children aged 8 and over.

  • Discover nocturnal birds of prey
    Observe the feeding habits of the barn owl and raise awareness of its conservation. Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.

  • Insects live
    Discover the diversity of insects through a lively presentation. Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free 1-hour tours with registration at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm (limited to 15 places) for children aged 8 and over.

  • Eco-pasture exploration
    Discover eco-pasture animals and interact with the park's wildlife. Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free 1-hour tours on registration at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm (limited to 15 places) for children aged 8 and over.

  • Introduction to wildlife photography
    Fauna, flora and landscape photography workshop with Michel Chardin. Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free 1-hour tours with registration at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm (limited to 10 places).

  • Discovering animal tracks
    Creation of an empreintoscope and guided exploration to identify animal tracks. Times: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Château de Plaisir.
    Free 1-hour tours with registration at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm (limited to 20 places) for children aged 8 and over.

Sunday May 26 :

  • Diving into the heart of the beehive
    In-depth observation session of bees and their living environment. Times: 10:00 am to 11:00 am & 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Parc du Château apiary.
    Free with registration (limited to 15 places) for children aged 8 and over.
