Fête de la Nature at the Arboretum de Chevreloup 2024, free events in Yvelines

From May 22 to 26, 2024, the Fête de la Nature comes to life all over France, and in particular at theArboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup on the weekend of May 25 and 26, 2024, where a rich and varied program awaits young and old alike. Held annually in May, this national event is a free celebration open to all, dedicated to the discovery and promotion of France's natural treasures, from mainland France to the French overseas territories.

• Exhibition and treasure hunt: "Miam-Miam, Glou-Glou, les arbres et l'alimentation"
  The Arboretum turns a walk into a culinary exploration. Discover the surprising uses of trees in our diet, from linden used for herbal teas to elderberries for syrups. An exhibition accompanied by a fun treasure hunt is available at reception, allowing visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in this fascinating universe.
  
  
• Discovery workshops at the Arboretum
  Arboretum mediators await you at the reception pavilion to share the secrets of trees. On the program: sorting seeds, identifying the trees of our forests in the Paris region, and a unique sensory activity to blindly recognize natural elements. These workshops are designed to enrich your understanding and appreciation of local biodiversity.
  
  
• Encounter with butterflies and dragonflies
  An entomologist from the Office pour les insectes et leur environnement guides visitors through the Arboretum's habitats to discover butterflies and dragonflies, with a meeting point at the étang aux hérons. This activity is an exceptional opportunity to observe insect fauna up close and learn about their crucial role in the ecosystem.
