Past 10 p.m. you can no longer drink without eating something. No problem! We have found a lovely “wine restaurant” to keep on enjoying delicious nectars despite the health crisis. Meet at Pépin in Paris 18th arrondissement for a night filled with good treats.
Thorough décor, nice staff and local products, apparently, Pépin has everything to seduce up. Opened by Manu and Paul, two friends fond of wine and terroir, Pépin is THE new address to try in the 18th. One is a wine connoisseur, the other a butcher’s grandson, and both have first had a business career after studies in marketing and finance.
With Pépin, they create a wine restaurant only supplied by local producers, long-time friends or acquaintances. You can be sure you will have fresh and quality produces for the best price.
On the menu, delicious meats, and fishes cooked over a plancha, as well as vegetarian dishes to share. We would gladly have the snow pea and mint hummus for €7, or the coconut and sesame-marinated tuna tataki (€17). If you love meat, the plancha-cooked rump steak fillet makes us drool, and it only costs €15, an exploit for a Charolais meat!
As for wine, make the most of the serious and 100% French list from all the winegrowing regions. 7 pages of references to make your choice, and we can say there are many options! With bottles starting form €25, we may want to try several…
We put it on the test and tell you more soon with pictures!
