Easter vacations 2023 at the National Archaeology Museum in Saint-Germain-en-Laye

From April 22 to May 9, 2023, it's finally Easter vacation ! Ok, but what are we doing with the kids during this period? If you are looking to get out of Paris for a day, then head to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a stone's throw from the RER station, for a family visit to the National Archaeology Museum, right in the heart of the Domaine National de Saint-Germain!

During these vacations, you will be spoiled for choice: between the guided tours around the temporary exhibition of the moment, The World of Clovis, or the guided game tours, where you take 100% part in the visit, you are free to visit the exhibition in a traditional way or a little more fun!

For the workshops, come and try your hand at the art ofMerovingian goldsmithing, discover the unusual Merovingian alphabet, learn theart of illumination, the art of bookbinding, the art ofprinting or learn all about the Magdalenian (prehistoric animal engravings).

Every day, workshops are planned, with many different themes: count from 1.50 to 11 € per child, depending on the workshop chosen. As part of the Active Archaeology program offered by the museum, children can discover techniques, arts and ways of doing things that are hundreds of years old: discovery of archaeology, Merovingian weaving, equine mediation and artistic workshop around horse paintings... At a mini price, since the workshops cost only 1.50 €!

After your guided tour or workshop, take a tour of the museum's permanent collections or enjoy the magnificent view of all of Paris from the Domaine's terrace, with its panoramic view!
