Baron Pierre de Coubertin, known for largely creating the modern Olympic Games, will enter the Musée Grévin by July 2024, ahead of the Paris Olympiad.

In the year of the Olympic Games in Paris, sport is taking on an ever-increasing role at the Musée Grévin. Following in the footsteps of Théo Curin, Baron Pierre de Coubertin will be making his debut before the Paris Games kick off on July 26, 2024. Born in 1863, he is regarded as the father of the modern Olympic Games and contributed to the development of sport in France. But he is also highly controversial, due to his misogynistic and racist comments, believing that a"female Olympiadwould be uninteresting" or that "races are of different value".

The man who founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) was a short man of 1m62, with a stretched moustache. His statue, depicting him at the age of 31, is currently under construction in workshops in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, with inauguration scheduled for mid-June.
