In terms of gameplay, this is indeed a roguelikes game, and the difficulty level is interesting for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. Handling isn't too complicated, and the challenge is there without discouraging novices.
As far as co-op is concerned, you have two choices: the open online game, or the private game. We tried out the three-player private game, and we're not going to lie, we didn't miss out on all the fun! Co-op is great fun, especially when you know the players well... Communication is easier, and strategies are more easily put in place to achieve victory. The open game, which we haven't tested yet, will require you to communicate, which can be more difficult with people who don't know each other... It's up to you to decide what appeals to you most.
Our only regret may be that the private co-op game isn't necessarily very clear on how to access a create game (you'll have to invite your friends via their profile page on the PlayStation lobby (or PC or other consoles if you're playing on other machines) if you're hosting the game). A space in the game lobby would have been simpler and more welcome.
But that doesn't stop Endless Dungeon from being a fine roguelike to get your hands on!
