Climbing gyms, especially bouldering gyms, have been booming in the last few years. After Block'Out 1 in Cergy, Block'Out 2 in Saint-Ouen or even Blocbuster or Hardbloc, Vertical'Art, the first private climbing gym in Yvelines, has arrived.
Indeed, before this gym, in Yvelines, you had the choice between climbing outside (for those who have equipment) or to be part of a club to climb in gyms. From now on, no need to travel dozens of kilometers to find a bouldering gym, Vertical'Art seduces climbers in search of novelties.
Lawrence Chapelier, who initiated the project 4 years ago, associated with Emmanuel Jan and Kenny Cagigas, unveiled to us at the end of 2013, a 1200 m2 space dedicated to the practice of climbing but not only. Open 7 days a week, in the morning, free of charge for the city's schools and from 11am to 11pm for everyone. The structure is composed of blocks up to 4.50 m high. All levels can participate, from novice to experienced.
The gym had promised us to open 10 new profiles for this new year, it is finally 30 new profiles that are now open to us. Profiles straight out of their climbing imagination, thought and designed with the help of the whole team... Alban Levier, Vincent Prot and Bruno Delon all worked with them to imagine and design new blocks. Slabs, slopes, overhangs, reta'... complete the offer.
From 1200 m2, the hall has grown to 2000 m2, including 1000m2 of climbing area!

If you are not yet familiar with the bouldering rooms, you should know that they are indoor climbing rooms, similar to the Fontainebleau boulders, which do not require ropes or a harness. You climb on low structures and you land on big thick mats in case of fall.
The advantage? No need for a partner to insure you! You can come to climb at lunchtime or spend a moment in the evening. Located in a business area and surrounded by offices, the hall appeals to sports enthusiasts and those looking for a quiet and friendly place to eat or have a drink. Large relaxation areas await you.
You don't know how to climb or want to improve your skills? Don't worry, the team offers courses for adults and children. Several formulas will be proposed to you: in group, individual, novice or confirmed...

Note that Vertical' Art is organizing a large-scale contest on June 18, 2016: the Vertical'Night. During this day, many animations are on the program: partner stands, contests, gifts... are waiting for you. The whole event is animated by Christopher Hardy, your international speaker!
