In the last few years, bouldering gyms have become very popular. You know, these gyms that do not require a harness, ropes, carabiners or even a partner to climb. After the opening of 2 gyms in Ile de France (in Cergy and Saint-Ouen), Block'Out continues its momentum and opens a 3rd gym in Lisses, near Evry. This is good news for the inhabitants of Essonne and climbers in the south of Paris who are looking for something new.
Like all the new ones, this new gym benefits from the experience of its predecessors. It is a jewel that awaits you in the new B'O3. Eager to always innovate in the field, Block'Out has dug its head in to offer you an even more convivial and original space.
Upon arrival, you will discover a beautiful and large wooden terrace that will please climbers for a relaxing break. We like the green and calm environment of the place which makes of this terrace a good plan for the clubs in the surroundings. Well, it was raining during our visit...
At the entrance, we discover in front and on the right, a big store. Unique in its kind, this 150m2 store will offer you all the best indoor and outdoor climbing gear. Quality clothing with brands such as Patagonia (whose ethics we salute), ABK or La Sportiva await you. Original and adapted clothes that will take you out of the endless classics.
If you take this direction to go climbing in Fontainebleau, stop by to find what you need: crash pads, climbing shoes (La Sportiva, EB, Five Ten, Scarpa, Boldrini...), chalk, ropes, quickdraws, descenders, harnesses... are now on the way.
On the left, you will find a large and friendly bar with an original design. You will find there something to refresh you with fresh fruit juices, beers (including the famous Block'Out Beer from Vexin, to be tested) and teas from all over the world. On the food side, you have the right to a wide range of salads, sandwiches, paninis and homemade burgers, accompanied by fries. You can also enjoy the daily specials concocted by the chef.
With the bar, opens to you 2 interior spaces to pose you. On the ground floor, to the right of the bar, discover a nice corner with a recycled spirit. On the first floor, take advantage of the unobstructed view on the room and the climbers.
As for the climbing area, 750 m2 are waiting for you in an ecological air-conditioned room. The program includes 35 different profiles, 15 of which have restorations like in Fontainebleau. 250 boulders with 7 levels of difficulty, regularly modified (every month), this is what awaits you.
A must try is the boulder held by a wire that moves when you climb: disconcerting. 
The courageous ones will be able to launch themselves on the cave which has nothing to envy to the other rooms of the group.
Whether you are a novice or an experienced climber, there is something to satisfy your desires. Beginners and experts alike can sign up for courses to learn the right moves or to improve their skills.
On the innovation side, we also discover the training corner which has something to surprise. Unique in its kind, this patented panel will work the strength of arms and fingers. Finally, for those who can do it...
Of course, Block'Out 3 also has a weight room with all the appropriate equipment and a large sauna for 10 people to relax the muscles after exercise.
In short, a room to discover! For those who are used to the group's other gyms, why not opt for the pass package at €490 per year which gives you unlimited access to all the gyms. A good plan for those who like a change.
