There are 24 of them. 24 bands to grace one of the 5 Rock en Seine stages this Saturday, August 26, 2023, the third day of the Parisian festival. So, which artists are not to be missed this Saturday ? Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Brutus, Charlotte de Witte... round-up of the 5 bands and artists to see this August 26 at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud for the 20th anniversary of Rock en Seine!
CHARLOTTE DE WITTE - Scène Cascade - 11.20pm
Fans of electronic music? Don't miss Charlotte de Witte 's set on the evening of Saturday August 26 on the Cascade stage. Now a fixture at numerous electro festivals, the Flemish artist who founded her own label, KNTXT, has set herself the mission of making Rock de Seine festival-goers sweat and dance with her minimal techno, skilfully blended with acid techno.
YEAH YEAH YEAHS - Scène Cascade - 8:40pm
Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase are back at last after several years' absence! Flagship band of the early 2000s, Yeah Yeah Yeahs emerged from silence in 2022 with the release of the album"Cool It Down". The result? The American indie rock band is back on the road, and arrives at Rock en Seine on August 26 with a dynamic, euphoric show that's sure to put a smile on the faces of nostalgic fans eager to catch the New York tornado live again!
BRUTUS - Bosquet stage - 8.40pm
The Belgian music scene as we like it! Join us on Saturday August 26 on the Bosquet stage to discover Brutus, a post-hardcore trio made up of singer/drummer Stefanie Mannaerts, bassist Peter Mulders and guitarist Stijn Vanhoegaerden. With three albums to their credit, including the rousing"Unison Life", Brutus aim to make us go wild with their supercharged riffs, and to captivate us with their more atmospheric flights of fancy.
DRY CLEANING - Bosquet stage - 6.30pm
With Florence Shaw 's talented spoken words and over-the-top post-punk, Dry Cleaning are well worth the detour. A word of advice: don't miss them on August 26 on the Scène du Bosquet, to immerse yourself in the intoxicating universe of this British band co-founded in 2017 by Nick Buxton, Tom Dowse and Lewis Maynard. Today, the UK outfit has two albums to its credit, including"Stumpwork", released in October 2022.
ALTIN GÜN - Main Stage - 4:00 pm
Get ready for a beautiful musical journey with Altin Gün, a group that honors the tradition of Anatolian rock, the Turkish psychedelic movement that was popular from the mid-Sixties to the end of the Seventies. Featuring vocalist Merve Daşdemir, singer Erdinç Ecevit Yıldız, both from Turkey, and Dutch bassist Jasper Verhulst, the Altin Gün sextet will take the opportunity to perform live on the Rock en Scène Main Stage a few tracks from their latest opus, christened"Aşk", with bewitching folk influences.
Of course, this list is by no means exhaustive, and there are plenty of other bands not to be missed at Rock en Seine on August 26. And what are you planning to see and hear on Saturday at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud?
