Pony rides in the Vallée de Chevreuse, at Ecurie du Moulin Neuf (91)

How about a hike in the Vallée de Chevreuse? Known as one of the most beautiful valleys in the Ile-de-France region, it's a treasure trove of historic monuments and beautiful hikes and trails, accessible to all ages and abilities. Even more original, you can opt for a pony ride, to kill two birds with one stone and combine a fun activity for the little ones with a sporting outing for the grown-ups.

Then head forEcurie le Moulin Neuf, a horse boarding facility in Villiers-le-Bâcle, in theEssonne region of France! Here you can borrow a pony (or ponies) for thirty minutes or an hour, and introduce your little ones to pony riding. Children as young as toddlers can ride the ponies for €10 for half an hour, or €18 to spend an hour with a pony. Rides are available all year round, but only at weekends, and it's best to take a ride when the weather's fine (but that goes without saying!). A great idea for a family outing in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley!
