Val-de-Marne: where is the best 2023 baguette in the department?

While we'll soon know where to savor the best galette in Île-de-France, the Syndicat des Boulangers du Grand Paris has unveiled the 2023 results for the best baguette in Val-de-Marne.

This autumn, 70 employers, 92 employees and 17 apprentices from the département tried their luck to win the coveted title. To convince the jury, the competing bakers had to submit their baguettes on Thursday November 9 to the Val-de-Marne Chamber of Trades and Crafts.

After smelling, touching and tasting the various baguettes presented for the occasion, the jury delivered its results on Monday November 27. So, who takes first prize for the best baguette in 94? This year, Frédéric Antunes of Les Délices de Fred bakery/pastry shop in Le Perreux-sur-Marne wins in the " Employers" category. Michel Fabre, of Alfortville-based boulangerie Michel Fabre, took second place. Finally, Adel Nagoudi, from the Chouquette bakery in Thiais, came third.

In the " Employees " category, Christophe Pate, from Vibrations Gourmandes bakery in Nogent-sur-Marne, won the competition. He was followed by Yoann Malmejat from the boulangerie-pâtisserie Aux trois petits mitrons in Sucy-en-Brie, and Medhi Helel (Aux délices 2 k in Villejuif).
