Fête de la Musique 2024: metro and RER lines open all night in Paris

The Fête de la musique returns this Friday, June 21, 2024 in Paris and everywhere else in France. Once again, to the delight of musicians and music lovers, this major musical event will take over the streets of several major cities, offering a series of free concerts and other musical goodies, and welcoming a number of great artists that evening. And to ensure that this Fête de la musique 2024 is a complete success, Parisian and Ile-de-France transport will once again be running and circulating all night from Friday June 21 to Saturday June 22, 2024.

IDFM (Île-de-France Mobilités) is once again running its special Fête de la musique operation. The aim? To give you unlimited travel in Paris and the Île-de-France region throughout the night of Friday June 21 to Saturday June 22, 2024, by running several metro, RER, Noctilien bus, streetcar and Transilien lines all night long! As last year, 6 metro lines will be running at high frequency that night (note that not all stations will be open).

What about RER and Transilien trains? After the end of their normal service, RER lines A, B, C and D, and Transilien lines H, J, L, N, P and R will operate throughout the night.

METRO LINES AND STATIONS OPEN ON THE NIGHT OF FRIDAY JUNE 21 TO SATURDAY JUNE 22, 2024:

• Line 1: Château de Vincennes, Nation, Gare de Lyon, Bastille, Châtelet, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George V, Charles de Gaulle-Etoile, Porte Maillot, Pont de Neuilly, La Défense.

• Line 2: Nation, Père Lachaise, Belleville, Jaurès, La Chapelle, Anvers, Pigalle, Place de Clichy, Charles de Gaulle-Etoile, Porte Dauphine.
  
  
• Line 4: Bagneux, Mairie de Montrouge, Porte d'Orléans, Denfert-Rochereau, Montparnasse, Saint-Michel, Châtelet, Les Halles, Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord, Barbès-Rochechouart, Porte de Clignancourt.

CIRCULATION OF RER, TRANSILIEN AND TRAMWAYS DURING THE NIGHT FROM FRIDAY JUNE 21 TO SATURDAY JUNE 22, 2024 :

At the end of normal service, RER lines A, B, C, D, then Transilien lines H, J, L, N, P and R will run all night. Note that line R will only run between Melun and Montereau.

Buses will also be running between Conflans Sainte-Honorine, Les Mureaux and Mantes-la-Jolie.

The T4 tramway will link Bondy and Aulnay-sous-Bois.

NOCTILIEN CIRCULATION DURING THE NIGHT FROM FRIDAY JUNE 21 TO SATURDAY JUNE 22, 2024 :

The Noctilien network will operate from 00:30 to 05:30, adapting to the rail network according to traffic constraints and safety perimeters.

Night owls who want to enjoy the Fête de la Musique in Paris and the Ile-de-France region without the hassle of parking can buy a special ticket for €4. For this price, the ticket is unlimited on the entire network from 5pm on June 21 until 7am the following day, ideal for enjoying several concerts without spending a fortune. It gives unlimited travel throughout the Paris region, on all modes of transport (metro, train, RER, streetcar express, bus and streetcar), with the exception of certain direct airport services (Orlyval) and tourist buses (OpenTour, Cars Rouges).

Note that this dematerialized pass can be loaded onto a Navigo Easy pass from an automatic machine at a station, or directly from the Île-de-France Mobilités app using your compatible Android phone.
