Paris 13 Tattoo Expo 2024: Second edition of this tattoo event

The art and history of tattooing is back in Paris' 13th arrondissement this autumn. While the Tattoo Planetarium fair will be returning to Paris in 2025, another tattoo event is returning to the capital. Dubbed " Paris 13 Tattoo Expo ", this biennial event is not to be missed from Tuesday November 12 to Saturday November 16, 2024, at the Salle des fêtes of the Mairie du 13e arrondissement.

Over 5 days and 900 m², this event offers visitors a plunge into " the art of tattooing through the ages ". The detailed program has yet to be announced. But don't forget that in 2022, tattoo lovers and enthusiasts were able to learn more about the practice by discovering a nomadic exhibition by the famous English collector William Robinson. This tattoo museum, exceptionally installed in the salle des fêtes of the 13th arrondissement town hall, unveiled several hundred items on the history of tattooing. Visitors could find unique, historic and sometimes curious pieces, such as this faithful reproduction of the Otzi mummy, on which 61 tattoos were identified on the body.

Visitors were also able to admire the first wireless tattoo machine in its original version, as well as a collection of original objects belonging to Sailor Jerry, the famous tattoo artist of the 1960s and founder of the"old school" style.

But the Paris 13 Tattoo Expo, which was free of charge, was also an opportunity to meet a number of tattoo artists, photographers, painters, collectors... In all, no fewer than 25 artists from the world of tattooing were on hand, including Freaky Hoody, France's most tattooed man, artist Pascal Tourain, illustrator Sunny Buick, and tattoo artists Manu Treiz and Colla Tatau.
