Virtual 5k run for Global Running Day

No matter the virus, we always find solutions to be gathered around running. From Wednesday June 3 and Sunday June 7, in order to celebrate Global Running Day as it should be, Brooks invites runners from all over the world – wherever they are – to virtually take part in a 5K run.

How to get the pleasure of long run amid the post-confinement period? Even though the phase 2 of the containment exit scheme starts on June 2 in green areas, and from June 22 in orange areas, gatherings over 10 people are still banned in public spaces. But it does not prevent sport brand Brooks to propose a virtual 5K race on Global Running Day. Between Wednesday June 3 and Sunday 7, runners from all over the world can run the same virtual 5K run wherever they want.

Called “Find some Run Happy”, the race will make runners forget about all the events cancelled worldwide because of the coronavirus epidemic. For the first time, a world virtual 5K race will see a maximum of runners send positive vibes while sweating. Inspiring, isn’t it?

In concrete words, to sign up, nothing simple: meet on the event’s website and follow the different registration step. Then, the sport clothes and shoes brand asks participants to share a picture with their bibs on social networks along with the #FindSomeRunHappy and tagging @brooksrunningfr in order to immortalize this moment and get an illustration of Brooks Unique created by artist Shogo Ota. The brand wishes to create right after a 10x10m mural with all the pictures. Let’s hope many of them will be part of it!
