True sporting event devoted to all riding lovers, Grand Prix d’Amérique 2020 is much more than a harness racing. Held every year on the last Sunday of January, the race is a genuine show American way gathering 40,000 enthusiasts, amateurs and of course professionals meeting in Vincennes – hippodrome de Paris on Sunday January 26, 2020.
And this year, the race celebrates its 100th anniversary, please! As a matter of fact, it's in 1920 that the biggest harness race is created. At first, the event was created to honor the committment of the United States to the First World War and the strong relationships uniting France and its American ally.
The day is just incredible: in addition to attend a race featuring the world best thoroughbreds, we discover American shows including dance, acrobatics, vaulting, followed by a cheerleaders show, please! For its 100th anniversary, we'll be provided with a sensational 30-minute long show on the track. Drivers will be joined by 100 junior drivers, 100 standard-bearers from all over the world as well as 100 Harley-Davidsons!
This Sunday January 26, 2020, horses will run for 2,700-m for spectators’ greatest happiness. Please note that this year, harness race participants face off each other for a common cause, the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale, a charity that will receive the whole revenues of the admission tickets and the benefits of the shirts sold for this Grand Prix.
