From May 12 to September 25, 2022, Monnaie de Paris devotes an exhibition to the infinite variety of shapes, textures and uses of coin called “Monnaies & Merveilles”.

Because of the coronavirus epidemic, the Monnaie de Paris museum invites history lovers to discover its new exhibition, Akan, the values of trade, from July and until February 28, 2021. A dive into the story of the Akan people, and especially the Ashanti and their oh-so particular use of gold as an exchange currency. The exhibition is closed until further notice.
