In Wuhan, China, that might be the starting point of the coronavirus pandemic, two hypotheses are spread. The first one says that the source comes from a wild animal carrying the virus that has been eaten. The second one focuses on Wuhan virologic laboratory and is inquired by the American government.

Director of Wuhan virology Institute Wang Yanyi addressed on Chinese public channel CGTN. If she admis the laboratory owns three strains of living coronavirus virus, it would be similar to Covid-19 at 79.8% only. She denies responsibility of Wuhan laboratory for the spread of the pandemic. The laboratory’s work on Covid-19 published in February showed 80% of the genome sequence were similar to the Sras.

Most scientists are leaning towards an animal to man transmission hypothesis and since then, eating wild animals has been banned in China and in Wuhan, which market is often named as the likely starting point of the world pandemic that followed.
