From June to October 2017, the Centre Pompidou hosts a great exhibition that will return on the complete work of one the most influencing English artists of the 20th century: David Hockney. To be discovered.

To celebrate David Hockney’s 80th birthday, the Centre Pompidou hosts an exhibition from June 21 to October 23, 2017 dedicated to the English artist’s work.

As seen as a British “national treasure” and known for his portraits and landscapes mixing photographs and paintings, David Hockney is first and foremost an artist with multiple hats: painter, photographer, engraver, drawer and decorator… Come and discover the universe of one of pop art main figures from the 60s.

This birthday-retrospective will first start at London Tate Britain museum from February to May 2017 before setting up at Paris Centre Pompidou and flying to New York Metropolitan Museum of Art!

On the menu: discover 160 works of the artist, the Swimming Pools series and the Grand Canyon series and as many paintings, photographs, videos, drawings on iPhone and iPad, an original concept that already had been exhibited at the Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint-Laurent in late 2010.
