Photography is given pride of place at Paris Jardin d’Acclimatation. In January 2018, the park invites ten young photographers from the prestigious French photography school ENSP-Arles to capture a snapshot of the place in order to present, from March 15, 2018 and for a month, an exhibition focused on the photographs taken during the major embellishment work. A work initiated in September 2017 that these young kings of the camera will be allowed to walk back and forth to offer a never-seen-before work.
The idea of this exhibition? Beyond encouraging ten young emerging talents from the prestigious school, the goal is first and foremost to “give a peculiar, curious and surprised look at a place under construction, attractions being set up, to seize the temporary thing in the lasting and the continuity between history and renewal”.
Here are the ten participants to the project for a selection of five to ten photographs each: Quentin Carrière, Florian Da Silva, Renault Swen, Nina Medioni, Eliott Chalier, Daniel Robles, Joana Luz, Agathe Mouches, Lucas Lemme and Elsa Martinez. Their goal: give a portrayal of the garden and seize the very particular atmosphere. All in all, they have a week to cross the alleys, pitches and scaffoldings of the garden and seize the essence of the place.
At the end of the exhibition, a jury made of specialists at Paris City Hall, Ministry of Cultural Affairs and at the head of the LVMH sponsorship will have to elect the winner of this first Carte Blanche.
