Paris C’est Elles for International Women’s Day

Published by My de Sortiraparis · Published on February 23th, 2018 at 10:56 a.m.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the AWARE association: Archives of Women Artists, Research & Exhibitions takes over the public area for a long weekend with one historical, cultural and social question: what are the works by women artists that marked the Parisian landscapes and where are they?

Every afternoon, students from Ecole du Louvre offer mediations in front of works, for a journey through public sculpture history and through Paris geography.

In dialog with work of their elders, Céline Ahond, Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann, Laurence de Lerrsnyder and Capucine Vever will pace these tours with temporary performances and installations, and Marie-Ange Guilleminot will offer the opening of the Box 31 – second-hand booksellers’ box – an area for selling books with a selection of books by women artists.
