A tribute to nature and to the men farming it… This is what the Grande Arche rooftop offers from July 1, 2021 with the brand-new exhibition, Grandeur Nature. An exhibition offering you to dive into the heart of works by two photographers Olivier Löser and Laurent Monlaü who went on an assignment in France and abroad with Clarins, the cosmetic group having initiated the project (and curating the exhibit).
The idea? Showing the strength and beauty of nature, vector of meetings between nature and men and making visitors and photography amateurs aware of biodiversity. An exhibition highlighting “the so precious balance between Nature and its Men […] to maintain and swarm for the future”. For Olivier Löser, a common thread: going back to the origin of the plant to create this so particular bond between men and nature. A bond that also sketches the main lines of a social, cultural and economic pyramid.
As for Laurent Monlaü, he presents his “Les Forêts Originelles” series, a massive work presenting “bubbles of untouched primary forests in the world, vertiginous frescos of nature, a vegetal panorama”. A work that has been largely printed, the biggest one being 4.50m high, a sort of anamorphosis worked with a computer. The idea behind theses pictures? Getting closer to the slowness of nature and its development.
Please also note that a third photographer has been involved, Guido Mocafico, presenting his own work about nature, as well as several conferences, a Saturday per month and several workshops for children on Saturday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Let’s run to the Grande Arche rooftop, shall we, friends?
