The coronavirus epidemic and the first confinement got the better of the 16th Museum Night since the cultural event initially planned on May 16th, 2020 will ultimately take place on November 14th, 2020. Yet the new lockdown will not prevent the event to be held as it will take place online with the #NDMChezNous operation.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, and the first lockdown, Museum Night 2020 – initially planned on May 16th – has been ultimately postponed to November 14th, 2020. Yet, France has been placed back into lockdown on Friday October 30, 2020 and until December 1, 2020. But it should not prevent the event to take place as it adapts to the measure. This year, Museum Night 2020 will be digital! Stay home, art and culture are coming to you!

Therefore, even though the Minister of Culture has to let go of the "physical" organization of this event on a European scale because of lockdown, they are working on a digital version of this staple event on the cultural calendar, especially in Paris. This is the #NDMChezNous operation. Even though Museum Night is usually paced by walks and uncommong encounters, the Minister hopes for museums that "this digital version of Museum Night will keep the link with the public while highlighting places of culture, reminding their essential part, even more important during a crisis".

Hold your breath, cross your fingers and wait for the program for Museum Night digital style!
