The White Night is the perfect opportunity to discover a whole range of modern art in uncommon venues, but also to visit museums at night time and for free. This Saturday October 7, 2017, at night, head to Parisian museums for unique installations!

But the Nuit Blanche is also the unexpected way to visit Parisian museums for free, surrounded by various atmospheres and meet artists from all over the world.

The White Night 2017 in museums – program:

White Night 2017 at the Grand Palais
This Saturday October 2017, the Grand Palais opens its doors at night-time and for free so that you can visit the exhibition focused on Irving Penn while listening to music by Great American Songbook.

White Night 2017 at the Philharmonie and the Cité de la Musique
For the White Night 2017, the Philharmonie and the Cité de la Musique host four nonstandard concerts all through the night and offer a special visit of the Cité de la Musique museum collections, filled with concerts, mini-conferences and in a special light staging focused on a theme “Shadows and Light” and the whole from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

White Night 2017: a night of chamber music at the Musée de l’Orangerie
For the White Night 2017, the Musée de l’Orangerie will remain open for free and host chamber music concerts. On Saturday October 7, 2017, 11 European ensembles will make Claude Monnet’s Water Lilies vibrate from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. during these 9 concerts!

White Night 2017: Nil Yalter at Café de La Perle by the Musée Carnavalet
Even though the Musée Carnavalet is still closed for works, it takes part in the edition 2017 of the White Night held on Saturday October 7. It organizes a screening of the Turkish artist Nil Yalter’s work (born in 1938) in front of the Café La Perle.

With all these installations, Paris museums will have no more secrets. But, don’t forget that many venues also open on Saturday October 7, 2017 with various programs.
