On Museums Night 2017, shall we escape from Paris and discover a royal palace, the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye? Since 1862, this wonderful building has been housing the Musée d’Archéologie nationale (the museum of national archeology) which features masterpieces from the Celtic age and the Gallo-Roman age.
Here is the detailed program for Museums Night:
A partnership with Fondation Dauphine...
Every year, as part of the Fondation Dauphine’s curricular innovation program and today’s great challenges teaching provided by Professor Pierre Maclouf, about a hundred second-year students from the Université Paris-Dauphine can take part in a cultural mediation within a museum from Île-de-France. What a unique experience for economics or management students! Since 2010, the Fondation Dauphine develops a program between unique and promising partnerships and great cultural institutions. It has already signed partnerships with the Réunion des musées nationaux et du Grand Palais as well as the Musée d’Archéologie nationale.
For the fourth year in a row, on Museums Night, students are trained by curators from the museum to present a selection of flagship items. With their blue t-shirts, they will wait for the public in the museum’s rooms.
