Chantilly Potager des Princes now opening all year long expects you again for Easter entertainments including its traditional egg hunt that will take place this year during spring break from April 6 to May 5, 2019.
As for the previous years, the Potager des Princes provides a whole bunch of entertainments during the break: we discover the famous rabbit race and the hen race as well as the unique orchestre de poules cantiliennes [Chantilly hen orchestra] and the demonstration of the work of a sheepdog.
Moreover, this year, the Potager has also welcomed newcomers: 2 deers, 3 miniature pigs and a wonderful bamboo aviary filled with a dozen of pheasants that come to complete all the animals living in semi-captivity in the park.
As usual, the Fête du Poussin is back for Spring break (April 6 – May 5, 2019) where in additions to entertainments and the Egg hunt, you can obviously look at the hens brooding as well as eggs incubating in an incubator and chicks under a candler. The Fête du Poussin celebrates the 21 days a chick spends in an incubator. Opening hours: 3:30 p.m. during the week / 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the weekend / Easter weekend: 2 p.m./3 p.m. and 4 p.m. One rate: €10
In other words, the Potager des Princes is the perfect outing idea to delight children and adults looking for some nature who will make the best of it to visit the park. Not less than 25 themed gardens are opening with waterfalls, trellis and other treasures.
Please note that the park has become an unmissable animal park now housing the Musée Vivant de la Basse-cour Naine [Miniature farm animal museum] as well as large aviaries featuring parakeets and pheasants.
