Heatwave: Paris parks and gardens open all night to beat the heat

During the summer months in Paris, the opening hours of many parks and gardens are extended until midnight. This system is in place every summer, and is particularly useful during heatwaves. At the same time, 140 green spaces remain accessible 24 hours a day all year round, offering residents night-time refuges to cool off even outside the extended opening hours.
