National Day 2026: Fireworks, the funfair and activities canceled in Mennecy (91)

The town of Mennecy, in Essonne, had planned a Bastille Day celebration in style, with a fair and activities over Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, followed by the traditional fireworks on July 14. Unfortunately, because of drought and the risk of fire, an order was issued banning fireworks across the department. Mennecy has therefore decided to cancel all festivities.

1001 lights at the Domaine de Montauger to celebrate the summer solstice

To celebrate the arrival of summer, the Domaine Départemental de Montauger hosts on June 22, 2019 the 1001 Lumières à Montauger event. On the menu, carriage rides, games for children, local products tasting sessions and bonfire of Saint John at nightfall.
