The Musée de la Préhistoire d'Île-de-France in Nemours is opening its doors to archaeology enthusiasts during the Journées du Patrimoine, on September 20 and 21, 2025, with a special program.

The Musée de la Préhistoire (Prehistory Museum), an immersion into the life of the first humans, in Nemours (77).

Located in the town of Nemours in the Seine-et-Marne département, the Musée de Préhistoire d'Île-de-France takes you on a journey of discovery into the daily lives of our prehistoric ancestors and their way of life.

Secret stones: the exhibition that highlights the mythology of yesteryear at the Museum of Prehistory

The Museum of Prehistory reveals the secrets of the Fontainebleau forest, through the exhibition "Secret stones. Pre-Celtic Mythology in the Forest of Fontainebleau". To be seen from April 15 to December 30, 2023.
