The long-awaited return of the traditional Christmas Markets in Île-de-France heralds a magical time in Morsang-sur-Orge, Essonne. On December 9 and 10, 2023, the Château's forecourt will be transformed into a veritable winter fairytale. It's the perfect opportunity to rediscover the warm and enchanting spirit of the festive season, while discovering great gift ideas in the heart of the retailers' chalets.
Soak up the magical atmosphere as soon as the Morsang-sur-Orge Christmas Market opens on Saturday at 6 p.m., with handcrafted creations, gourmet delights and, of course, the unmissable presence of Santa Claus, for magical photo shoots. On Sunday, from 10am, the market will open its doors for another enchanting day, with gospel singing and activities for youngsters, who will be sure to drop off their list to Santa in a dedicated letterbox.
In this time of sharing, solidarity is the order of the day at the town's CCAS stand, which will be accepting your toy donations all weekend long.
The festivities will culminate at 6:30 p.m. with a marvellous fireworks display, offering a dazzling way to end the weekend and start the countdown to Christmas.
