Learn how to prepare a galette de rois with your family with Maison Fika's pastry classes

Dads, moms, grandparents, young and old, this workshop is for you! On Saturday, January 7, Maison Fika is getting into the spirit of the galette des rois with its family workshops for baking a beautiful frangipane. For the little ones in the morning, there's a parent-child duo workshop from 10.30am to 1.30pm, and for the grown-ups in the afternoon, there's a workshop for teens aged 11 and over, and adults, from 3pm to 6pm.

You'll learn all about frangipane! First, you'll learn how to make your own inverted puff pastry, then the almond frangipane cream, before assembling and baking the galette. All that's left for you to do is leave the workshop with a 6-person galette to share with your family. For younger children, aged 6 and over, there's the option of a galette des rois session in a parent-child duo workshop, on the same day at 10:30 am. For 3 hours, you'll work together to discover how to make a frangipane in the truest sense of the word: rolling out the dough, making the almond cream, hiding the bean....

Maison Fika workshops are not just about discovering a recipe. It's also an opportunity to familiarize yourself with pastry-making utensils and techniques. For the little ones, the workshop can be done in twos or threes, if parents or carers want to bring several children along. For parents or teenagers aged 11 and over, the price is €99 per person; for parents and children aged 6 and over, the price is €54 per person. Maison Fika is the new family coffeshop in Asnières. Not only is it a café serving hot drinks and gourmet pastries, it's also a kid-friendly place with play areas for children.
