The Château de Rambouillet is a former royal residence set in over 900 hectares of parkland in the heart of the Rambouillet forest in the Yvelines department. The building also boasts two architectural treasures: the Laiterie de la Reine Marie-Antoinette (Queen Marie-Antoinette's Dairy ) and the chaumière aux coquillages (shell cottage). Both were built in the 18th century, within the historic gardens of the Château de Rambouillet.
