Fête de la Musique 2023: Karimouche and his "Folies Berbères" at Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (93)

Guitar, bass, drums, double bass, violin, piano, flute or harp... what instrument will you be playing on June 21 for the new 41st Fête de la Musique? Every year, on the same date, budding musicians take to the streets to share their passion with as many people as possible.

This year, this great popular and festive event, which is still as popular as ever more than 40 years after its launch in France, returns on Wednesday June 21, 2023 with a host of free concerts of all kinds. Rock, blues, jazz, electro, world music, rap or even R&B and French variety... on June 21, all musical styles will be featured, to satisfy everyone's tastes and desires, and to celebrate the Fête de la musique in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

So what's in store for you on June 21 in Paris and the Ile-de-France region? If you live in Seine-Saint-Denis, then Pierrefitte-sur-Seine is the place for you. This Ile-de-France municipality, which is used to welcoming talented artists for the Fête de la musique, is this time inviting singer Karimouche to take us on a journey in the Parc Frédérick-Lemaître with her " Folies Berbères " in a unique, free concert.

Fête de la musique 2023 in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, the program

Join us on June 21, 2023 at 6pm in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine 's Parc Frédérick-Lemaître to celebrate the new 41st Fête de la musique!

• 6pm: Performances by a host of talented Pierrefitte musicians - coordinated by percussionist Eric Sanarens.
  
  
• 7:15pm: Students from the Edith Nave-Olivaux Conservatory of Music and Dance perform, sharing with you the vast musical repertoire they've been working on this year, from Otis Redding, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin to Claude Nougaro and Bob Marley.
  
  
• 8:45pm: Karimouche and his " Folies Berbères
  Carima Amarouche, aka Karimouche, is a feline figure from the suburbs of France and a fireball in the cafés. You'll discover tracks from her latest opus, " Folies Berbères ", in which she combines poetry, social chronicle and a sense of derision.
