Fête de la musique 2023: Keziah Jones and Dj Cucurucho at Saint-Denis (93)

Feel like celebrating with some music? Well, the Fête de la Musique returns on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, with a host of free concerts of all kinds!

Every year, some people tear their hair out trying to find the best electro concert, the best classical music concert, the unusual event not to be missed or the trendiest concert to go to.

It has to be said that the concerts on offer on June 21 for the Fête de la musique are numerous, and as diverse as they are varied. All musical styles are featured (rock, rap, jazz, blues, classical, reggae, electro, French variety...), delighting the ears of everyone, from the youngest to the oldest.

Once again this year, a rich program awaits you on Wednesday June 21 for this year's Fête de la musique, including in Saint-Denis. This town in the Seine-Saint-Denis region of the Paris region is once again taking part in this great popular and festive event, offering its residents the chance to come and enjoy a host of free concerts on June 21, starting at 7pm on Place Victor Hugo, in front of the legendary Basilica. This year's line-up includes concerts by talented Nigerian artist Keziah Jones and groove-trotter Dj Cucurucho!

Fête de la musique 2023 in Saint-Denis, the program

• 7:00 pm: Tremplin Hip-Hop winners of the 2023 edition: Cledor, Neige, Turno, Shoto8, Manda
  The 2023 edition of the Tremplin Hip-Hop, organized by the Ligne 13 concert hall, brought together some thirty young artists. The 5 winners of the Tremplin will open the main stage for the Fête de la Musique.
  
  
• 8:30 pm: Keziah Jones (Blues & Funk)
  In 1992, Keziah Jones released the seminal album "Blufunk Is A Fact!", a blend of funk and acoustic blues, with the hit "Rhythm is Love". Several decades later, Keziah Jones is now teaching blufunk, the musical style he created and whose secrets he wants to pass on to younger generations.
  
  
• 10:00 pm: Dj Cucurucho (World Sound)
  Co-founder of Radio Groovalizacion, a specialist in tropical sounds and improbable fusions of Afro, Caribbean, Latin, Arabic and Indian music with global urban rhythms... This true groove-trotter has shared evenings with international artists such as Bomba Estereo, Seu Jorge, Balkan Beat Box, Salif Keita, La Yegros and Chicha Libre. Join him in Saint-Denis on June 21!
