For this year's Fête de la musique, the town of Sarcelles, in the Val-d'Oise, is pulling out all the stops, offering 6 days of free festivities to be enjoyed from June 19 to 28, 2023!
Another 41st Fête de la musique! Like every year at the same time, budding musicians bring out their instruments to celebrate live music and showcase all musical styles for a whole day. From rock to rap, electro to hip-hop, jazz to blues, French variety to classical, not forgetting reggae... every genre is in the spotlight on June 21.
In Paris, there are plenty of musical events to choose from, including trendy concerts, electro open air events, classical music performances and unusual events in museums, institutions and churches.
Elsewhere in the Paris region, there's no shortage of free concerts, with a host of events to discover in both Hauts-de-Seine and Val-d'Oise. - At the Conservatoire, 2 avenue Paul Langevin
Concerts by students and teachers from June 19 to 28, 2023
- Monday June 19: at 7:15pm, a concert by the violin workshops at the Auditorium Gérard Grisey, and at 8pm, the singing class performs excerpts from Mozart's famous opera " Don Giovanni ". Mozart's famous opera, also at the Auditorium.
- Tuesday June 20 at 8.30pm, concert by the Conservatoire's baroque and vocal ensembles, accompanied by students from the oboe class, at the Auditorium Gérard Grisey.
- Wednesday June 21: at 5 p.m., concert by the percussion classes in the Conservatoire's outdoor amphitheater or, in case of bad weather, in the Conservatoire hall; at 6:30 p.m., concert by the Junior string and wind orchestra in the Auditorium, followed by a concert by double bass students; at 8 p.m., concerto for piano and orchestra in the Auditorium.
The program includes the 2nd movement of Chopin's piano concerto and the 2nd movement of his 2nd piano concerto, as well as Mozart's entire 23rd piano concerto, performed by the students of the conservatory's piano classes and orchestra. This concert will be repeated on June 28 at 8pm, at the Auditorium.
