Fête de la Musique 2023 with Tiken Jah Fakoly at Évry-Courcouronnes (91)

Have you been waiting for her? It's back! The Fête de la musique will be making a comeback on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, with a new 41st edition that's as musical as it is convivial. Every June 21, the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to attend a wide range of free concerts all over France. While artists - both amateur and professional - take to the streets, museums, bars and restaurants in Paris, there are plenty of events elsewhere in the Île-de-France region. Whether in Hauts-de-Seine, Yvelines or Seine-et-Marne, live music will be resounding almost everywhere on June 21.

In Essonne too. A number of concerts have been announced for this département, including one in Evry-Courcouronnes. Every year, to mark the Fête de la Musique, this town in the Ile-de-France region plays host to great artists in a wide variety of styles on the Place des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen.

After Earth Wind and Fire in 2013, Harold, Féfé and Rachid Taha in 2014, Youssou N'Dour in 2015, Flavia Coelho in 2016, Calypso Rose in 2017, Shy'M in 2018, Youssoupha in 2019 and Amir in 2022, who has the honor of taking part in the new Fête de la musique in Évry-Courcouronnes? Well, this year, for the 41st anniversary of the Fête de la Musique, the artist Tiken Jah Fakoly is expected on the Place des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen. Please note that this free concert takes place one day before the traditional Fête de la Musique, on Tuesday June 20, 2023.

Starting at 8pm, the singer-songwriter and reggae singer from Côte d'Ivoire, who is also a committed artist and activist, will perform some of his greatest hits live, as well as songs from his latest opus,"Braquage De Pouvoir". Opening the free concert in Évry will be multi-instrumentalist, DJ and composer David Walters.

Note that the Fête de la musique is also celebrated on June 21 in Évry, with a program featuring local musicians. Stages will be set up to discover talent " Made in EC "!
