It's a time of year that music lovers look forward to. I'm talking about the Fête de la musique. This popular and festive event returns every year on June 21, to kick off the summer in style and with a bang.
Every June 21, music lovers take to the streets, cafés and restaurants, parks and gardens, and sometimes even museums and churches, to vibrate to the rhythm of live music.
Since its launch in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has given us some great musical moments. And there's no end in sight. This year, the Fête de la Musique returns on Saturday, June 21, 2025 throughout France. Once again, concerts, DJ sets and other free musical events of all kinds are in store. From rock to jazz, electro to jazz, classical to rap... there's something for everyone!
