Fête de la musique 2023: Julie Zenatti at Bussy-Saint-Georges (77)

For the new 41st Fête de la Musique, the town of Bussy-Saint-Georges is organizing two exceptional free musical evenings on Wednesday June 21 and Saturday June 24, 2023. On the program? Local artists and groups, followed by a live performance by Julie Zenatti.

June 21 is the summer solstice, but it's also the Fête de la Musique, the famous cultural event that every year brings together a host of musicians in the streets, but also in bars and restaurants, parks and gardens, museums and institutions.

The Fête de la Musique was launched in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture. This year, 2023, marks the 41st edition of this popular, free musical event, which is a great hit with the general public. As with previous editions, this new Fête de la Musique is an opportunity"to emphasize the principles that presided over its creation: a festive, popular and spontaneous event, aimed at all audiences and designed to highlight and encourage amateur practices", as stated on the Ministry of Culture website.

This year's program promises to be once again rich and eclectic, with numerous free concerts to discover and listen to in the four corners of Paris, and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, such as in Bussy-Saint-Georges.

For this 41st edition of the Fête de la musique, this town in the Seine-et-Marne region of Ile-de-France is pulling out all the stops, offering not one, but two evenings of free concerts.

First of all, on Wednesday June 21, 2023, the official day of the festival, you'll be able to discover a number of the town's artists and groups at the mediatheque. Then head for Square Vitlina on Saturday June 24, to enjoy an open-air concert by artist Julie Zenatti.

- 10:30 a.m.: Creative workshop (ages 6 and up)
  Calling all budding musicians! To mark the Fête de la Musique 2023, come and create your own musical instrument from recycled objects.
  Free, on registration at mediatheque@bussy-saint-georges.fr
- 2pm: Escape Game (ages 8 and up)
  The famous rock star Nick Fury has been tricked just before his concert! Someone got into his dressing room and hid his lucky microphone. Without it, he couldn't go on stage. Detectives, you've got 20 minutes to solve all the riddles and find Nick Fury's microphone, or the concert will have to be cancelled!

- 4:30pm: "Faites de la musique" concert
  Come and listen to artists and groups from the town and surrounding area, selected by the cultural department.
