Do you love music? Would you like to pay tribute to it? Then join us on June 21 for the traditional Fête de la musique. Every year on the same date, budding musicians and singers gather in the streets, bars and restaurants, as well as in parks and gardens, to celebrate music in all its forms.
But what exactly is the Fête de la Musique? Once a year, on June 21 (the day of the summer solstice), this popular and free musical event invites all musicians, amateurs of all levels and professionals alike, to celebrate living music and to showcase the breadth and diversity of musical practices, as well as all musical genres.
Created by the French Ministry of Culture in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has since been exported abroad, becoming a national event in countries such as Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Peru and Colombia. Over the years, the Fête de la Musique has invented and reinvented itself, becoming an emblematic event that we all love to come back to every June 21.
This year, the program is once again rich and eclectic in Paris and the Paris region. If you live in Seine-Saint-Denis, head for the town ofAulnay-sous-Bois. On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, for the 41st Fête de la Musique, the town of Aulnay-sous-Bois is inviting several artists to perform live, including two headliners. Free concerts will be given by NEJ on the Place du Marché de la Rose des Vents, and Gilbert Montagné, star of the 80s, on the Boulevard de Strasbourg. Of course, admission to these concerts is free.
