Fête de la Musique 2024: La Compagnie créole gives a free concert in Dugny

In June, cultural events abound in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. From Nuit Blanche and Rendez-vous aux Jardins to the Solidays and Days Off music festivals , there's something for everyone. And let's not forget THE popular and festive music event, the Fête de la musique.

Since it was launched in France in 1982, the Fête de la musique has brought together music lovers and musicians every June 21 to celebrate music for an entire day and evening. So, every June 21, the instruments come out and take over the streets, but also many other places such as the terraces of bars and restaurants, parks and gardens, museums and cultural centers, churches and certain institutions, to the delight of the public.

And every year, the French have a field day, enjoying free open-air concerts of jazz, rock, blues, classical music, rap and electro dj sets.

In Paris and the Ile-de-France region, there's no shortage of great music events, especially in Seine-Saint-Denis. Every year, the town of Dugny invites talented artists to celebrate music on the Parvis Edith Piaf. Please note that this year, the City of Dugny is celebrating music on Saturday June 22, 2024, rather than June 21.

After welcoming Eponyme Group in 2021, Émile & Images in 2022 and Keen'v in 2023, a new artist has been invited to celebrate the Fête de la musique in Dugny. On Saturday June 22, 2024, for the 43rd edition of the Fête de la musique, the City of Dugny will once again be taking part in this not-to-be-missed musical event! So, who are we talking about? This year, the famous Compagnie créole is invited to bring the sounds of live music to Dugny's Parvis Edith Piaf!

It's an opportunity for the group from the French West Indies and French Guiana to perform some of their greatest hits live! La Compagnie créole made a real impact on the French music scene in the 1980s, with such famous hits as"Ça fait rire les oiseaux","Le Bal masqué" and"Scandale dans la famille".
