Nuit Blanche 2024: dance and music rock the Maison des Métallos in Paris!

How about a festive evening at the Maison des Métallos? On the occasion of the Nuit Blanche, celebrating its 22nd edition this year, the Maison des Métallos is offering a variety of musical events on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Until sunrise, have fun and enjoy this artistic and playful event, which will keep us buzzing all night long!

Built in 1881 for the Gautrot musical instrument factory, specializing in wind and percussion instruments, the building was subsequently sold to theUnion Fraternelle des Métallurgistes in 1936, and inaugurated the following year. The building housed the union's administrative and documentation departments, as well as meeting rooms, a canteen and a sports hall.

In 2000, part of the Maison des Métallos was put up for sale by theUFM. It took a year for the sale to be completed, with the Paris City Council acquiring the premises, following action taken by various associations in the 11th arrondissement. Since then, the Maison des Mét allos has become a cultural venue, with a fine program of events.

Once again this year, La Maison is taking part in the Nuit Blanche, a popular artistic festival celebrating contemporary creation. All night long, over 200 free artistic events enliven the streets and art venues of Paris and the Greater Paris region. Unusual, cultural, surprising: these festivities are always memorable. A great opportunity to discover the Maison des Métallos!

The Nuit Blanche 2024 program at the Maison des Métallos :

• Accidental Thread exhibition by visual artist Pauline de Fontgalland
  Pauline de Fontgalland explores the notion of fragility and its potential. A graduate of the École des Beaux-arts de Paris, her formal research is based on an intuitive, experimental approach to materials.
  
  
• Practice géant
  Join choreographer Yuval Pick in this ode to dance, which leads us to (re)discover our singular bodily identity, and a freer relationship with space and others.
  
  
• Pazaz show
  CCNR dancers perform in places not dedicated to dance, such as an esplanade, the courtyard of a public building, a park... And improvise solos, duets, trios that explore the particular configuration of a place, getting as close as possible to the audience.
  
• Party
  End the evening on the dancefloor with a set from DJ Connasse!
