La Nuit Blanche is an opportunity to discover new artists, as well as historic sites in the capital! This meeting of past and present makes this artistic evening even more interesting, for the curious like you.
If you're not already familiar with Nuit Blanche, here's a quick recap: launched in 2002 by the City of Paris, this event is a celebration of contemporary creation. Over the course of one night, more than 200 events are organized throughout the city, in the form of performances, exhibitions, installations, participatory activities, shows... Parks, squares, museums, but also churches, art galleries and other places of interest in the capital and the towns of the Île-de-France region will be open free of charge during the evening, enabling the general public to enjoy contemporary art.
Among the participating venues is the Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris. Located in the 4th arrondissement, in the Hôtel de Lamoignon, this library houses important collections relating to thehistory of Paris and the Île-de-France region.
On the evening of the Nuit Blanche, this little piece of history, this jewel box of the past, welcomes a contemporary performance. Find out more about this evening's program.
