After drawing more than 4.5 million admissions in France, Toy Story 5 continues its run beyond the cinema. The new film from the studios Disney Pixar will be available on VOD from October 22, 2026, for purchase or rental depending on the platform.
In theaters on June 17, 2026, this fifth installment reunites Woody, Buzz, Jessie and their companions to take on an adversary unlike any they’ve faced before: Lilypad, a frog-shaped connected tablet that diverts kids away from their traditional toys.
Directed by Andrew Stanton, with Kenna Harris as co-director, the film examines the role of toys in a world dominated by screens. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and Greta Lee voice the original cast. In the French edition, Woody, Buzz and Jessie are voiced by Jean-Philippe Puymartin, Richard Darbois and Barbara Tissier.
The French cast also features Pierre Niney, Laura Felpin, Jonathan Cohen, Jean-Pascal Zadi and Marine Leonardi. The soundtrack also includes the song I Knew It, I Knew You, written by Taylor Swift with Jack Antonoff.
With this clash between toys and technology, Pixar extends a saga that began in 1995 while examining how gaming habits have evolved. Now streaming on VOD, the film is available to watch at home, four months after its French cinema release.
