Victoria Mekkoui has a knack for frantically counting things. 1, 2, 3, (...) 17, 18... That's how she came to realize how many bottles of shampoo she used in a year, an edifying testimony to the wastefulness of normal hygiene. The same goes for food and cleaning products: too much is too much.
However, this young lady isn't one to take it lying down, so she's opened a local shop to change things. At 30, rue Albert Thomas, you'll now find a pretty grocery store where all products are organic and sold in bulk. Bring your own jars and other perishable containers, fill them to your heart's content and you'll see: not only will you stop wasting packaging, but you'll also be consuming in a much more sensible way!
This grocery store is also a living space, with a coffee shop and an eco-responsible canteen. A promising initiative by a young entrepreneur, Opoa has what it takes to seduce Parisians with good ideas: let's run with it!
