Livre comme l'air: the children's literature and illustration festival in the Paris region

For this latest edition of Livre comme l'air, the Roissy Pays de France intercommunal network has planned a wide range of events focusing on children's literature and illustration. From Wednesday, February 28 to Saturday, March 23, 2024, visit media libraries and partner venues across the agglomeration (Val-d'Oise and Seine-et-Marne) to celebrate the expertise of the book world. On site, discover the diversity of techniques used to illustrate a children's book, from drawing and embroidery to painting, engraving and photography.

Over the course of a month, take part in creative workshops, enjoy exhibitions of original works and performances, and discover the worlds of the various participating artists. Engraving artist Julia Chausson is the guest of honor at the children's literature festival, and for the occasion, two shows based on her albums will be performed, as well as engraving workshops open to all.

Learn more about the book-making process, which will end up in your hands, for superb literary emotions! On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the festival's closing event will take place at the Espace Charles Aznavour in Arnouville, with meetings and book signings.
