Women's Euro soccer: the French team reaches the semi-finals for the first time

The French team came out of the group with flying colors and faced the European champions, the Netherlands, in the quarterfinals. And beat them 1 goal to 0, during the extra time! This is the first time that the women have reached the quarter-finals of an international competition, a feat that leaves hope for the best for the future.
