In the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Westfield Forum des Halles is donning the colors of sport and hosting an exceptional boxing bout this Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Originally, it was our French athlete Estelle Mossely who was to face the world number two, Maira Moneo, for the WBA lightweight interim world champion belt. But the gala's organizer has been injured and won't be able to run the show, so it's three-time world champion Sofiane Oumiha who will face a currently unknown opponent.
Throughout the day, musical shows and performances will keep the public busy, with a concert by Zaho, gospel and breaking, among others. Don't miss this free, no-registration event! The sportswoman will also be present, with boxing initiations for children! The first French boxer to win a gold medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016, she'll be aiming to repeat the feat next year on home soil.
This is the second gala organized by Double Y Boxing, the boxer's company, and there will be plenty of surprises in between the six fights scheduled for the evening. The evening before, you can also attend the pre-fight weigh-in ritual! Already qualified for the Paris 2024 Games, the two athletes are among France's top boxers and hopefuls for the competition. A golden opportunity to see them in action beforehand!
