On March 26, 2024, the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin in Paris hosts the 2024 edition of the charity initiative "Au Bonheur des Lettres", an exceptional evening combining literature and music. Presented by Augustin Trapenard and directed byJohanna Boyé, this show offers an immersive experience based on mythical letters and correspondence.
The Master of the evening, Augustin Trapenard, journalist, literary critic and host, is particularly renowned for his work on the radio, as host of the cultural program "Boomerang " on France Inter, where he invites personalities from the artistic and cultural world to discuss their influences and passions. With this evening, Trapenard continues his commitment to promoting literature and culture, and bringing them to a wider audience.
Missives from French arts and cultural figures such as Consuelo de Saint Exupéry, Romain Gary, Virginie Despentes, François Truffaut, George Sand and Marguerite Yourcenar are featured. These will be accompanied by contemporary texts evoking war, love, hope, creation, friendship and passion. Proceeds from the evening will go to support Bibliothèques Sans Frontières ' women's rights programs: Bibliothèques Sans Frontières is committed to facilitating access to education and culture, by deploying libraries and initiatives in vulnerable areas around the world.
