The Splendor Hôtel has just opened its doors a stone's throw from the Parc Monceau, taking guests into the enchanting world of magic.

Le Splendor is a small, 24-room neighborhood hotel on rue Cardinet, a stone's throw from Parc Monceau. Sandra and Jean-Michel, magic enthusiasts, wanted to share their passion and take their guests on a magical journey. To meet this challenge, they called on Sandrine Alouf, an athmosphericist with a marvellous talent for creating unique worlds and atmospheres.

To meet the owners' expectations, she set out to create this magical world, but above all she didn't want one that was too childish, with the rabbit coming out of the hat - although she has nothing against rabbits, of course! No, what she wanted was to honor the noble world of magic, magicians and illusionists.

To do this, she worked on creating giant holograms that tell a story through the interplay of appearances and disappearances, depending on how you move around the bed in each room. What's more, she realized that the image of Méliès had fallen into the public domain, and that it was obvious to pay homage to him by dedicating the 3 rooms on the top floor to him. Every detail is carefully considered: furniture, wallpaper, carpets... to draw the guest into a story...

As soon as you enter, the bubble blower gives you a glimpse of what each room has to offer... Then you climb the stairs, treading a carpet patterned with spades, diamonds, clubs and hearts, with cascading musicians' hats. All floors are indicated by holograms and each offers 4 rooms on 4 different themes:

  • Playing cards
The magician manipulates her cards, which fly away in a burst of color. Diamonds, clubs, spades or hearts... King or queen...
  • Illusion
Large spiral on the floor, characters appearing and disappearing, a mirror in which you don't fully recognize yourself. The senses are blurred...
  • Levitation
The magician reigns supreme, drawing the client into a spellbinding experience...
  • Celestial magic
Chiromancy, zodiac... are you ready to let yourself be led by the fortune-teller?

The top floor features Georges Méliès and his famous short film "Journey to the Moon". The three attic rooms plunge you into the world of this entertainment genius, with a universe of midnight blue, deep, sparkling black, gray and silver... Not forgetting the lovely view over the Parisian rooftops.

All the rooms take you into a different world, with the headboards featuring posters from the early 20th century reproduced as holograms. The library at the entrance to the hotel is a veritable little museum of magic, inviting you to settle back comfortably on the sofa and browse through the various works.

Breakfast isserved under a starry sky adorned with blown-glass lights. On the menu, discover the regions of France with artisanal products (cheeses, jams, charcuterie...). Le Splendor is a magical setting in which Sandrine Alouf has created the magical atmosphere that Sandra and Jean-Michel (the owners) wanted to share with their customers. All you have to do is turn up and let the magic happen...
