Vintage crockery, decor with "Wes andersonian" colors, a feeling of being at home: you are at Auteuil Brasserie, a few steps from the door of the same name. This winter, the vintage-chic establishment offers two new appointments: a new breakfast formula and a mulled wine aperitif that will make you forget the icy rain and greyness for a moment.
Installed in an old train station, the place has a real charm. Some will see Californian atmospheres, others will find a perfume of Italy. It is in fact Italy that is on the menu, as much for breakfast with different Italian coffees (Mocha, latte, con panna...) as for therosso & bianco hot wine aperitif that will come with foccacia and squid à la romaine.
Copious it is the least that one can say of our breakfast in this rainy Saturday of January. I chose the "Auteuil breakfast", its detox juice, its panettone with candied fruits, granola cheese, banana and honey and a double espresso. The kiwi/cucumber/mint/lemon juice... a marvel of refreshment! The pannettone, a kind of brioche with dried fruits, very good.
A huge bowl of granola cheese later and here we are on the rooftop of the establishment, a magnificent vegetal terrace that comes alive in the evening. Sheltered from the cold, under a cozy blanket, we enjoy the mulled wine recipes elaborated by the sommelier Nicolas Rebut, former chef of theHotel Meurice and Alain Ducasse in Monaco.
A nice address to discover to start a winter day or evening in the west of Paris.
